Hey yall,
In the midst of working on an exciting piece for Philly band New Speedway’s upcoming album and I was reminded of shoot I did with my dear friend Danny Gruber. Danny’s taken some of the best photos of me to date and I came across these great images from out last shoot. They were shot on film (that thing before digital) and created by projecting different patterns and images on me against a white screen. As always, they turned out great and I am just ridiculously lucky that I have so many talented people that work as hard as they do to make me look good! Make sure you keep a sharp eye out for this upcoming photography superstar!!

Hey Internet versions of the people I know!

So I am currently doing a major overhaul of my website MollieKKomins.com and am going to be using/updating this site pretty often as a way to keep my fans (see: immediate family/fiance) abreast of all the new things I’m making. I am currently working on several VERY exciting projects, including two children’s books and will be releasing new art and info on a pretty regular basis! I should have the new site up and running in the next Month and I’ll be sure to keep everyone posted.

Hello world wide webbers! Forgive my absence, but the end of the semester is upon us and therefore, my free time is dead. I am taking all of my art off of Facebook in the hopes of avoiding theft/copyright issues/general b(*&%it.

Therapy Session

New Work, New Medium

Hello internets!

I have just explored a new way of working and thought I would share it with everyone. I made my first animated GIF. using linocuts and ink. I pretty much NEVER work in such graphic lines but I’m pretty proud of what I can do when I step outside of my comfort zone. This is a piece about the power of the Hasidic community in Williamsburg where I live. I’m in the process of animating the images but for now, I’ll just post the 4 individual slides.

WORKY-WORKS!

So in the process of being disgustingly ill and unable to get out of bed for the past 3 days, I’ve had plenty of time to get work done (since I can’t really do anything else)!  Here’s some of the newest illustrations for Parsons…plenty more on the way.  I’m still in the process of updating/figure out how to use this thing and I’m also building a real website, AND printing business cards! (I’m a real live a-dult!)
